Charlotte Pfeifer

Charlotte Pfeifer, 70, of Langdon, ND, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013, at her home, under the care of hospice, surrounded by her loving family.



Charlotte was born September 26, 1943, at Williston, ND, to Irving and Irene (Moore) Strand. She attended country school, where her parents were teachers, until fifth grade. She then went to Williston where she graduated in 1961. Charlotte went on to Jamestown College where she majored in Social Work. She was united in marriage to Dennis Pfeifer in 1964. They moved to Walhalla, ND where she taught for four years. Their daughter Lisa was born in 1968, son Mike in 1970, and son Bob in 1978. They moved from Walhalla to Langdon in 1985, where Charlotte served as high school counselor until her retirement in 2008. Charlotte liked to read, enjoyed scrapbooking and fishing, and she loved to attend ball games.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Lisa (Preston) Nerpel of Dunseith, Mike (Jodi) Pfeifer of Devils Lake, ND, Bob Pfeifer of West Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Nic of Moorhead, MN, Brady and Brendon Nerpel of Dunseith, ND, Jordan and Mason Pfeifer of Devils Lake, ND; brother Bob (Etta) Strand of Lakewood, CO; sister Jeanine Armey of Denton, TX; and nieces and nephews: Julie (Jaimie) McClusky, Susan Strand, David (Vickie) Strand, Kathy (Brandon) Jemyson, David Armey, and Scott (Carissa) Armey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, parents, and sister-in-law Sharon Pfeifer.

Services will be held Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at United Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND.

A prayer service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 7:00 at Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
