Charles Z. Trudel, 92, of Hillsboro, formerly of Pembina, ND died Sunday, February 17, 2008, at the Hillsboro Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina, ND. Visitation on Tuesday, February 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Assumption Catholic Church in Pembina. Burial in the Pembina Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Charles was born February 25, 1915, at Pembina to Zephyr Charles "K.C." and Lulu Belle (Peterson) Trudel. He grew up in the Pembina area and attended the Trudel School.
On September 12, 1940, he married Luella O'Hara at Hamilton, ND. They farmed in the Pembina area. In 1997, they moved to Fargo and in 2005, to Hillsboro.
He enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos, and all children.
Survived by his wife, Luella; children, Duane (Judy) Trudel, Hillsboro, ND and Irene (Jim) Wallenberg, Lancaster, MN; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cecelia Trudel, Devils Lake, ND.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Emma, Muriel, Florence, Audney, Blanche, and Mary Lou; and brother, John.
Celebrant: Rev. Fr. Joseph Okogba.
Casket Bearers: Neal Kyono, Skipper Trudel, Lester Wallenberg, Mark Wallenberg, Scott Wallenberg, Wes Wallenberg.
