Cecile Robillard

Cecile Robillard, age 88, formerly of the Mountain and Langdon areas, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.

Cecile Marcotte was born December 28, 1921 to Telesphore and Marie Laure (Beauchamp) Marcotte in Cavalier County, ND. Cecile was raised in the Olga area. She was united in marriage to Odell Robillard on November 14, 1944. Upon Odell’s Army Discharge the couple returned to Cavalier County. They lived in the area, including the Wales area, before moving to a farm in Mountain where they built a house in 1963. They spent nearly 40 years there and raised their family of seven children. Cecile was a loving wife and a gentle mom and grandma. She loved to bake, garden and spend time with her children and grandchildren. After the recent death of Odell, Cecile moved to Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks to be near her family.

Cecile is survived by her children: Mary (Bill) Behm of Grand Forks, ND; Nancy (Bob) Gustafson of West Fargo, ND; Roger (Val) Robillard of Lancaster, CA; Colleen (Leo) Marynik of Grand Forks, ND; Carl (Beverly) Robillard of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania; Daryl (Linda) Robillard of Wichita, KS; daughter-in-law Hyang Suk Robillard of Clearfield, UT, 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, siblings: Edna Dalzell of Rodgers, MN; Anna (George) Chaput of Grand Forks, ND; Ovide (Verna) Marcotte of Grand Forks, ND; Theresa Robillard of Langdon, ND; Laurette (Jim) Zettel of Grand Forks, ND; Eugene (Theresa) Marcotte of Langdon, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband Odell, son Leo, her parents, siblings Juliette Dietz, Marcel Marcotte, Leo Marcotte, brother-in-law Morris Robillard and an infant great-grandchild.

Visitation will take place on Monday, July 5, 2010 beginning at 6pm with a 7pm Prayer Service all at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of services at the church on Tuesday.

SERVICES Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 10:00am at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.

Interment Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery of Olga, ND.
