Carrie E. Peters

Carrie E. Peters age 87 of Hensel, ND and formerly of Hampton, VA died on Friday, January 25, 2008, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 31, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, VA. Visitation at the cemetery on Thursday from noon to 1:00 p.m. Arrangements with R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Hampton, VA.
Carrie was born August 2, 1920, in Dugins, West Virginia to Samuel and Nellie (Lawson) Legg. She grew up in West Virginia where she met and married Sanford Peters, they were married for 58 years until his death on August 16, 1995.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia (Marvin) Werman, Hensel, ND; grandchildren, Susan (Perry) Svenson, Debbie (Barney) Kihne, all of Cavalier, ND; Marvin Werman, Jr. and Michael (Kellie) Werman, all of Rockford, MN; Dreama (Daniel) Hartley, Little Rock, AK; Denville (Tina) Culliford, Star City, AZ; Catherine (Jerry) Holloway, Chesapeake, VA; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Helena Copper, Marg Kermil, and Obol Pardue, all of Hampton, VA.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Deanna Culliford, sons, Lewis Edward and Mac Peters, and two sisters.
