Carolyn Klein, 88, of Langdon, ND and formerly of Munich, ND, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.
Carolyn Kathryne Faul Klein was born July 27, 1929, to Charlie F. and Carolina Seibel Faul at the family home. The Faul farm was southwest of Harvey in rural Schiller Township. She was the 11th child out of 17 in the C.F Faul family. Carolyn attended a country school, Harvey High School, Minot State and Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS. This schooling allowed her to teach at Harvey and Rosehill.
Carolyn married Leonard Klein on September 3, 1952, at the Harvey MB Church. They made their home 4 ÃË miles north of Alsen. Carolyn helped her husband on the farm, cooked at Alsen School and managed the Alsen CafÄ© for many years.
Carolyn accepted Christ as her Savior at approximately age 13. She was later baptized in Coal Mine Lake by Pastor Warkentin. Carolyn was active in the Rosehill M.B. Church, Salem Bible Church, Gideonââ¬â¢s womenââ¬â¢s auxiliary, MCC, Christian Womenââ¬â¢s and numerous other activities.
Carolyn spent time with God and desired that her entire family knew God. Family was important to Carolyn and she was the proud mother of four children: CleoBeth (Friesen), LuWanda (Schroeder), Marwood, and Robin (Holcombe). Carolyn enjoyed visiting her children and grandchildren and prayed for them regularly.
Life for Carolyn was not always easy. She was a very hard worker; she loved to bake, work with flowers, garden and can. Carolynââ¬â¢s overall health was good until 2016 when her health began to decline. Even so, she lived her life to the fullest.
Those preceding her in death were her parents, her grandson, Kenton Schroeder, and other family members. Survivors include her husband, Leonard, of 65 years; children: CleoBeth Friesen (Dennis); LuWanda Schroeder (Richard); Marwood (Tammy); Robin Holcombe (George), grandchildren: Charity Frenzen (Jeremy); Shannon Friesen (Carrie); Wade Schroeder (Lauren); Kristina Schroeder; Ciara Peterson (Dan); Derek; Tia; Dustin Gilje; Dawson Kaufmann; Ashley Mott; Carly Mott; Taylor Holcombe; Joshua Holcombe; and Lydia Holcombe, great- grandchildren: Adam and Jacob Frenzen; Reed and Aleyx Friesen; Max, Haven, Jack and Jude Schroeder; Paisyn Peterson; Jessie and Kingston Gilje, and siblings: Linda Liebelt; Helen Fadenrecht; Benny Faul and LeRoy Faul.
Funeral Services for Carolyn will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Salem Bible Church in Munich, ND. Visitation will take place from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Time of Sharing on Thursday, November 30, 2017, in the Activity Room at Maple Manor Care Center. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, rural Langdon, ND.
