Caroline B. Skaro

Caroline Skaro age 102 of Crystal, ND died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 10:30a.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Vidalin Cemetery, rural Hensel, ND.
Caroline Anderson was born October 20, 1905, near Hensel, ND to Louis and Hilda (Dahl) Anderson.
On October 30, 1924, she married Ted Skaro at Langdon, ND. She lived her entire life in the Hensel and Crystal area. Ted died on August 10, 1987.
She was a very kind, hardworking, and everyone was always welcome at her home. Making special dishes like vinaterta for family and friends is something she enjoyed doing. Caroline was a very special and loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors are her daughter, Eleanor Puppe, Crystal, ND; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Louis Anderson, Velva, ND.
Also preceded her in death were her parents, sons, Marlyn and Willis; brothers, Oscar, Teddy, and Halvor; and sisters, Nettie Olson, Margaret Welstad, and Gladys Olson.
Clergy: Margaret Smith.
Music: Christine Hughes, Organist and Soloist.
Casket Bearers: John Olson, Jack O'Toole, Paul O'Toole, Tom O'Toole, Don Puppe, and Randy Skaro.
