Carl Buchweitz

Carl Buchweitz, 72, of Munich, ND passed away Dec. 4, 2007 at MeritCare in Fargo, ND.

Carl Alden Buchweitz was born July 24, 1935 to Herman and Lucille (Ritter) Buchweitz in Cavalier County. He attended Munich and Huron Schools and went on to serve in the National Guard. Carl and Janice Hall were united in marriage on October 20, 1962 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Munich. They have resided on the Buchweitz farm where they farmed and raised horses. Carl taught Hunter Education for 28 years, was a longtime Munich School Board Member, a past township assessor and belonged to the Cavalier County Wildlife Club. He truly loved animals, being outdoors and hunting.

Carl is survived by his wife Janice, children: Steven of Alsen, ND; Dean (Lisa) of Langdon, ND; Kristine (Dave) Lundeby of Osnabrock, ND; Katherine (Rich) Sinks of Rapid City, SD; Brian (Amanda) of Alsen, ND, grandchildren: Ana Tobiasz, Lindsay Wold, Luke Lundeby, Christopher Lundeby, Hannah Lundeby, Morgan Buchweitz, Mitchell Buchweitz, Cody Sinks, Madison Sinks, Colton Buchweitz, great-grandson Warren Tobiasz, brother James of Bottineau and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Brent and sister Margaret Feldner.

VISITATION will be held beginning at 6pm with a 7pm prayer service all at the Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday Dec. 6, 2007.

SERVICES Will be held Friday December 7, 2007 at 10:30am at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Munich, ND.

INTERMENT Clyde Cemetery, Clyde, ND.
