Gerald "Buster" Freeman age 77 of Silver Springs, FL and formerly of Neche, ND died on Sunday, April 8, 2007, in Silver Springs. Gerald Freeman was born March 24, 1930 in Lancaster, MN to Bjorn "B.A." and Marguerite Freeman. The family moved to Neche in 1937, where he attended school and graduated from Neche High School in 1949. He served briefly in the U.S. Air Force and was medically discharged in 1951. After his discharge from the service he moved to Grand Forks and was employed as a meat cutter at Piggly Wiggly stores. In 1964, he moved to Franklin Park, IL where he was employed by his brother Robert in the restaurant and tavern business. Buster then moved to Silver Springs in 1984, employed by Silver Springs Attractions and Stage Stop Inn until his death.
He is survived by a sister, Mae Johnson, West Fargo, ND and brother, Ralph Freeman, Denver, CO.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bernice Lupien; brothers, James, Harold, Robert and Phillip "Dickie" and long time companion, Martha Vanover.
