Bruce Goodman age 55, of Grand Forks, ND after returning home from a family Christmas gathering, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 25, 2006, at Altru Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Milton Lutheran Church, Milton, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, December 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial in the Fjalla Cemetery, Milton, ND.
Bruce was born December 13, 1951, in Langdon, ND, the only son of John and Bjorg Ragna (Peterson) Goodman. He grew up with his four older sisters, on the family farm in South Olga Township. He was baptized at Fjalla Lutheran Church and confirmed at Milton Lutheran Church. Bruce attended school in Milton, where he was active in FFA, earning the Foundation Award for livestock and farming, and the DeKalb Award for scholarship and leadership. In 1970, he graduated from high school and attended Lake Region Junior College in Devils Lake, studying Agribusiness. Following college he enlisted in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged due to medical reasons. Bruce farmed grains and raised cattle with his father and uncle for a few years, before moving to Grand Forks.
Bruce was a very loving brother and compassionate uncle. He had a very witty sense of humor and loved animals. His passion was the love and pride he had for his family and close friends. Traveling to new places, being an avid reader, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors were things he enjoyed. He was especially known for his kindness and generosity.
His cherished family members include sisters, Janet (William) Muldoon, Red Lake Falls, MN; Irene (Donald) Dosser, Thief River Falls, MN; Charlotte (James) Hardy, Neche, ND; and Susan (Cedric) Jacobson, Bottineau, ND; nieces and nephews, Colin Muldoon, Raleigh, NC; Brendan and Erin Muldoon, Fargo, ND; Sharon (Chris) Gerst and children, Sam, Ethan, and Ava, Woodbury, MN; Greg (Sephanie) Dosser and children, Grant and Sarah, Minneapolis, MN; Jill Hardy, Rochester, MN; Mark Hardy, Neche, ND; Darin Jacobson, Bismarck, ND; Leah (Aaron) Hummel and children, Evan and Micah, Grand Forks, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Casket Bearers: Greg Dosser, Mark Hardy, Aaron Hummel, Darin Jacobson, Brendan Muldoon, and Colin Muldoon.
