Brian C. "Stuke" Stockton age 35 of Neche, ND died on Thursday, November 2, 2006, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 6, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the Neche High School Gym, Neche, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Neche School Gym. Burial in the Neche Union Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Brian C. Stockton was born April 2, 1971, at Cavalier, ND to James D. and Carol (Hvidsten) Stockton. He grew up and attended school at Neche, graduating from Neche High School in 1989. After attending N.D.S.U. he transferred to the Myer Broadcasting School in Minot. Brian worked as a D.J. for several years before moving back to Neche. He was a sports broadcaster for KNDK Radio in Langdon and in 2003, started the Border Tribune Newspaper for the Neche All Class Reunion. Brian also coached basketball, baseball, and softball for the North Border Sports teams. His passion for sports and journalism was evident in the way he prepared and presented his materials. It is fitting that his funeral take place at the Neche gym which he named "The Palace."
He is survived by his parents, James and Carol Stockton, Neche, ND; brothers, Scott (Leanne) Stockton and children, Amanda and Christine Stockton and Brandon Stiff, White Bear Township, Minnesota; Kirk (Angie) Stockton and children, Kendra and Tyler, Neche, ND; sister, Jamie Kay (Walter) Dodd and daughter, Danielle, Grand Forks, ND.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, George "Stuke" and Vera "Grandma Tootie" Stockton and Bert and Irene Hvidsten.

Casket Bearers: Don Brown, Daniel Ertz, Michael Ertz, Jeffrey Hughes, Jeremy Hughes, Jayson Menke, Reid Vosper, and Scott Vosper.
