Brendon Wenzel, 34, of St. Paul, MN, passed away March 31, 2012.
Brendon was born September 6, 1977 to Bruce and Cathy (Hiltner) Wenzel in Langdon, ND. He grew up in Langdon surrounded by a great deal of family who he enjoyed spending time with. He had all four grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and cousins surrounding him. He enjoyed spending time at the farm with his cousins. He was an animal lover, with a beloved dog Wally, while he was growing up. As a child, he had an amazingly fun creativity when playing.
Brendon attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where he graduated with a degree in Psychology. Brendon had a passion for and excelled in music. He spent countless hours playing piano and seemed happiest then. He was a gifted musician and also created and wrote his own songs. Later in life, Brendon was very happy to be an uncle and was active in his nephewââ¬â¢s lives. He glowed when he was around them.
Brendon loved learning and had a thirst for knowledge. He was self taught in many languages including Russian, Dutch, German and French. He will be remembered for his love of piano, but also for his creativity and artistic ability. Oil Painting and writing of poetry were creative outlets for him. He was surrounded by art, most recently surrounding himself with artists in the St. Paul area in an artistââ¬â¢s co-op.
Brendon is survived by his mother: Cathy (Mike) Zeis of Langdon, ND; brother: Quentin Wenzel of Grand Forks, ND; sister: Elise (Brad) Hansen of Rochester, MN; his nephews: Colin and Keaton Hansen; grandmother: Lauretta Wenzel of Texas; aunts and uncles: Mark Hiltner, Richard Hiltner, Beth (Wayne) Fylling, Denise (Vince) Brandner, Danny Hiltner, Lisa (Darren) Glynn, Karen Kloster, Coleen (Doug) Forsberg, Curt Wenzel, Renee Rohman; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Bruce; grandparents: George and Theresa Hiltner; grandfather: Harold Wenzel; aunts and uncles: Gayle (John) Knecht, Loren Rohman; and cousin: Kyle Wenzel.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11:00am at the United Methodist Church of Langdon, ND.
