Bonnie Jeffords

Bonnie Jeffords, 87 of Cavalier, ND, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 27, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the St. Brigid's Catholic Cemetery, Cavalier.
Laverne A. "Bonnie" Carl was born June 23, 1928 at Grand Forks, ND to Theodore and Helen (Moga) Carl. She grew up in Grand Forks, where she graduated from high school.
On March 1, 1949, she married Richard G. "Dick" Jeffords at Grand Forks. After their marriage they owned and operated Dick's Bar in Cavalier. Bonnie also worked at Kid's Town and Sue's House Daycare. Family was very important in her life, especially her kids and grandkids.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings; son-in-law, Donny Kearns; and her husband, Dick on July 15, 1987.
Survivors include her children: Sheila (Rick) Kemnitz and Mike Jeffords, all of Cavalier, ND; Barb Kearns, West Fargo, ND; Jim (Becky) Jeffords, Cavalier; grandchildren: Jered (Missy), Nathan (Nikki), Nikolas (Julie), Jonathan (Nikki), and Brenna; great-grandchildren: Kelby, Daxten, Lennox, Ryker, and Aubree; and several nieces and nephews.
