Wilhelmina J. "Billie" Moritz, age 92, of Cavalier, ND died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cavalier Evangelical Free Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Zion Cemetery, Cavalier, ND.
Wilhelmina J. Schrader was born April 30, 1917, near Osnabrock, ND to Jacob and Laura (Weber) Schrader. She grew up in the Osnabrock area.
On June 11, 1942, she married Wesley Moritz at Osnabrock, ND. They enjoyed traveling together, were active in the church and mission projects. Wesley Moritz died November 11, 2001.
Her joys in life were gardening, sewing, baking, tending to flowers, and hospitality towards family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Garnett) Eddington , Cavalier, ND, Pat (Jim) Kemp, Hamilton, ND, and Bonnie (Dick) Winkler, Neche, ND, grandchildren, Gretta (Ron) Ohmann, Jeremy Eddington, Heidi (Matt) LaGassick, Dane (Susie Symington) Winkler, Zachary Winkler, Betsy and Annie Kemp; great grandchildren: Karisa Eddington, Parker and Bella LaGassick, McKenna and Grayson Ohmann, brother, Raymond Schrader, Alamo, TX.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, sisters: Alverda Luhmann and Dorothy Ritchey.
Clergy: Pastor Bill Crosby and Pastor Don Schmid.
Casket Bearers: Jeremy Eddington, Dane Winkler, Zachary Winkler, Ron Ohmann, Matt LaBassick, and Dale Luhmann.
Music: Beth Kemp, pianist, Annie Kemp, musical signer, Marlys Olson, soloist.
