Betty Lou Tollefson

Betty Lou Tollefson, 88, of Edmore, ND passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Maple Manor Care Center, Langdon, ND. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Concordia Lutheran Church, Edmore, ND. A prayer service will be held Friday, July 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Betty Lou Larson was born August 12, 1929, in Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Ethel Larson. She grew up in Barton, ND and at age 11 her family moved to Wenatchee, WA, where she graduated from high school.

On March 19, 1955, she married Donald Tollefson at Moses Lake, WA. After their marriage they lived in the state of Washington and moved to Edmore in 1971. She worked at the Edmore Memorial Rest Home for several years. Things she enjoyed were gardening and reading. Betty was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and the Edmore Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband, Donald ; daughter, Dawn (Dean) Olson, Starkweather, ND; grandchildren: Derek (Tosha) Olson and Misty Olson; great-grandchildren: Mitchel, Hunter, Lily, and Ava; great-great granddaughter, Aubrie; sister, Jewel Branch. She is also survived by several nieces and nephew.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Ethel and step-father, Oscar.
