Bernard (Benny) Waslaski, 77, of Langdon, ND passed away January 21, 2008 at Meritcare in Fargo, ND.
Bernard Waslaski was born October 26, 1930 to Stanley and Catherine (Klebowitz) Waslaski at Hannah, ND. He attended school in the Loma area and entered the United States Air Force on July 7, 1951 serving in England. Benny and Rita Wright were united in marriage on April 16, 1955 at Shaftesbury, Dorset, England. He was honorably discharged on December 30, 1955. They returned to the Langdon area where they made their home and he worked for the Peter Kiewit Construction Company and then later for the city of Langdon until retiring. Benny was happiest when he was around family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed spending many hours in his garage making things, and each year he looked forward to deer hunting with his children and grandchildren. He took wonderful care of his family and was always there when anyone needed help.
He is survived by his wife Rita of Langdon, children: Anita (Eric) Fischer of West Fargo, ND, Terry Waslaski of Spokane, WA, grandchildren: Janelle (Tyler) Schafer, Bryan Fischer, Bryce Fischer, Ashlee Waslaski, Jake Waslaski, and Ben Waslaski, brother Arnold (Audrey) Waslaski of Langdon, ND; sister, Elizabeth Williamson of Grafton, ND; sisters in law; June Waslaski, Lavelda Waslaski, Agnes Waslaski and Edna Waslaski and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter Sandra Marie Waslaski; siblings, John, Floyd, Richard, Stanley, Edward, Frank, Phillip, Joseph, Helen and Marion Gerth.
VISITATION will begin at 3pm with a 7pm prayer service on Friday January 25, 2008 at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Saturday.
SERVICES Saturday January 26, 2008 at 2:00pm at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
INTERMENT Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
