Bernard Mann, 88, of Langdon, ND passed away December 28, 2006 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.
Bernard Raymond Mann was born March 18, 1918 to Philip and Mary (Dech) Mann at Loma, ND. Upon graduation from Loma High School he joined the CCC. He farmed at Loma first and then Nekoma for many years. Bernard was united in marriage to Lorraine Nosbusch on June 23, 1942 at Munich, ND and they continued to farm. They moved to Grafton in 1969 where he worked for Bordenââ¬â¢s Potato Company until his retirement in 1984. They then moved to Devils Lake for their retirement years. They moved to Wheatland in 2003 and he moved to Maple Manor in October of 2006. He was active on the Nekoma School Board and the Nekoma Rural Fire Department. Bernard enjoyed playing cards, traveling and was well known for making great sausage.
Bernard is survived by his wife Lorraine of Langdon, children: Don (Laurie) Mann of Shorewood, MN; Keith (Arlene) Mann of Plymouth, MN; Larry (Beth) Mann of Lake Elmo, MN; Jerry Mann of Grass Valley, CA; Margaret (Dale) Johnson of Grass Valley, CA, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters Thomas (Mary) Mann; Lorraine Rudow; Cecelia Bimler; sisters-in-law Lorraine Ballweg and Lona Mann and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Ellen, nine brothers and four sisters.
VISITATION Will begin at 6pm with a 7pm Prayer Service at the Maple Manor Care Center Chapel of Langdon on Monday January 1, 2006
SERVICES Tuesday January 2, 2006 at 2:00pm at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
INTERMENT St. Edwardââ¬â¢s Cemetery, Nekoma, ND.
