Belle Gregoire

Bella Odegaard Gregoire age 80 of Cavalier, ND died on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND after a brave battle with cancer for eight years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND Burial in the parish cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Belle was born December 12, 1925, at Niagara, ND to Ole and Bertha (Gilbertson) Odegaard. She taught school for 33 years in Hamilton, ND, Humboldt and St. Vincent, MN, followed by Gardar, Mountain, Edinburg, and Hensel. She then retired from teaching at Cavalier, ND and spent twenty warm winters in Winter Haven, Florida.
On June 15, 1947, she married Milton Gregoire at Niagara, ND.
She is survived by her husband, Milton; children, Wayne (Dr. Mary) Gregoire, Chicago, IL; Lee (Cindy) Gregoire, Colorado Springs, CO; Jon (Tracy) Gregoire and Loel (Dr. Lisa) Gregoire, all of Louisville, KY; and Susan (Bill) Rutherford, Peoria, AZ; nine grandchildren, Theresa, Jonathan, Ian, Katie, Jenna, Benjamin, Ellaka, Louis, and Jean-luc; brother, Gilbert (Lois) Odegaard, Larimore, ND; sister, Clara Bowman, Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Vera Odegaard, Petersburg, ND.
Belle was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Obert and Carl.

Casket Bearers: Matt Ford, Tom Ford, Dean Hinkle, Howard Hoff, Ray Robinson, and Laverne Sommer.
