Audrey M. Wessels

Audrey M. Wessels, 88, of Walhalla, ND died Thursday, February 5, 2009, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Walhalla-Park Center Presbyterian Church, Walhalla. Visitation on Monday, February 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Park Center Cemetery, Neche, ND.
Audrey Mabel Paton was born August 22, 1920 in the Park Center area, where she attended school.
On November 28, 1940, she married Jay V. Wessels at Park Center. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Park Center area. Jay Wessels passed away on May 4, 1983. In 1991, she moved to Walhalla and for the past three years has resided at the Pembilier Nursing Center.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing cross stitch, and gardening. Audrey and Jay enjoyed traveling and fishing together.
Survived by her children, Douglas (Lorraine) Wessels, Neche, ND and Shirley (Ronald) Williams, Casper, WY, grandchildren, Jerry Williams, Justin Williams, and Jill Symington, four great grandchildren, and brother, Lawson Paton, Neche, ND.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, and infant daughter, Barbara.
Clergy: Pastor Dann Pageler.
Music: Kent and Lisa Dalzell, Vocalists and Sharon Carpenter, Organist.
Casket Bearers: Dan Horgan, Tom Koropatnicki, Allen McLeod, Glen Millar, Roy Paton, and Melvin Symington.
