Arthur R. Schaler

Art Schaler, age 88, passed away into God's presence on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his home in Neche, ND.
Funeral service will be on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 10:30 am at the Cavalier Assembly Of God Church in Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 3-5 pm at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier, ND. Interment at Cavalier Cemetery, Cavalier, ND.
Arthur Reinhold Schaler was born on December 22, 1921 in his family home in rural Neche, ND to August and Mary (Stegman) Schaler. He was educated in the Bruce Country School south of Neche. On August 23, 1952 he was united in marriage to Lillian Lesher at Cavalier Assembly of God. They lived happily in rural Neche on the family farm where Art spent his entire life farming. Lillian passed away on September 12, 1992. Art was a kind, quiet and peaceful man who loved Jesus and his family. He lived a life of gratitude, prayer and devotion leaving a legacy and example of faith to his children and grandchildren. He was an active member in his church, Cavalier Assembly Of God. He is survived by his two children, Dennis (Bonnie) Schaler of Neche, ND, Diane (Stephen) Koch of Warner Robins, GA, grandchildren, Craig (Beth) Schaler of Eagan, MN, Kevin (Dobber) Schaler of Fargo, ND, Stephanie Koch, Stephen M. Koch, and Stacey (Darrel) Jones, all of Warner Robins, GA, one brother, William Schaler of Neche, ND and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Iola Lewis, Edith Schaler, and infant sister Margaret Schaler. Memorials preferred to Convoy of Hope. Clergy: Rev.
