Arthur Monson

C. Arthur Monson, 82, of Osnabrock, ND, passed away Friday May 26, 2006 at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital of Cavalier, ND.

Carl Arthur Monson was born August 24, 1923, to Carl and Betty (Pearson) Monson near Osnabrock, ND. He attended school in Osnabrock graduating in 1941. He then joined his father in farming and has since lived on the family farm one mile east of Osnabrock, ND. Art was united in marriage to Shirley Klai on November 5, 1948. Art was a lifelong active member of Dovre Lutheran Church. He was also very active in his community, including serving as a Farm Bureau board member, was active in the Town and Country Senior Citizen’s Center, and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Pythias.

Arthur is survived by his wife Shirley of Osnabrock, ND, his children: David (Mary) Monson of Osnabrock, ND, and their children Cordell of Minneapolis, MN, Cale (Kristeen) of Hoople, ND, and Jared of Fargo, ND; Jean and her son Dallas and his father Warren Fowler of Green Bay, WI; Holly (Mike) Close and their daughters Brittney and Brianna Close of Wahpeton, ND. Art is also survived by his sister Irene Eide of Williston, ND, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lilly Nelson and brothers-in-law Einar Nelson and Leif Eide.

VISITATION: will begin at 5:00 pm at Dovre Lutheran Church of Osnabrock, ND, with a 7:00 pm Prayer Service at the Church.

Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Monday.

SERVICES: Monday May 29, 2006, at 11:00 o �clock at Dovre Lutheran Church of Osnabrock, ND.

INTERMENT: Union Cemetery, Osnabrock, ND
