Arthur "Pete" Martineau

Arthur "Pete" Martineau, 88, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Pete was born January 9, 1924, at Pembina, ND to Lorenzo and Margaret (Wills) Martineau. He grew up and attended school in Pembina. Arthur served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his discharge from the service he farmed in the Pembina area and after his retirement he moved to Grand Forks.
Survivors include his siblings: Elmere Kramer, Bemidji, MN, Faye Quam, Grand Forks, ND; William Martineau, Cincinnati, OH, Doris Markel, Grand Forks, Frances Sather and Judy (Gary) Hove, all of Grafton, ND; Joyce Wosick, Cavalier, ND, Wanda DuRain, Bismarck, ND, and Connie Bushaw, Grand Forks.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers: George and Richmond Martineau; and sister, Louise Keney.
Clergy: Rev. Fr. Robert Pecotte.
Honorary Pallbearers: Richard Bushaw, Doug Hove, Gary Hove, Wayne Keney, Dennis Kramer, Loren Mattson, Wade Markel, and Jason Wosick.
Military Rites will be held by the North Dakota National Guard Funeral Honor Guard.
Interment will be held in the Pembina Cemetery, Pembina, North Dakota.
