Arthur Klein

Arthur (Art) Klein, 86, of Langdon, ND passed away Sunday April 11, 2010 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.

Arthur was born February 11, 1924 to Adolph and Marie (Kuball) Klein in South Dresden Township, Cavalier County. He grew up in South Dresden Twp. where he was educated. He went on to a winter electrician course in Langdon. Art was united in marriage to Maxine Ann Domres on November 10, 1957 at Grand Forks, ND. They made their home and farmed in South Dresden Township. They became the parents of four boys. Art was active in South Dresden Twp. serving on the Twp. board for many years. He also dedicated his time to St. John’s Church and St. John’s Cemetery. Maxine passed away January 30, 1992. Art retired from farming in 1992 but continued to stay involved and helped on the farm. Art and Marvel (Weiss) Kastner were united in marriage in February 1993. They made their home in Langdon where they attended United Lutheran Church, and Art continued to devote time to St. John’s cemetery.

Art is survived by his wife Marvel of Langdon, sons Charles Klein of Langdon, Robert (Margaret) Klein of Langdon/Fargo, ND, Dale Klein of Langdon and James Klein of Grand Forks, ND, sisters Eleanor Heldt and Edith Woodrow both of Langdon, ND, three nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maxine, brother Walter, sisters Olga Klein and Verbena Barker, one niece Joan Mirehouse and nephew Lynn Woodrow .

VISITATION will take place from 5 to 7pm on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND.

PRAYER SERVICE will be at 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon.

SERVICES will take place Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 2:00pm at the United Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND.

INTERMENT St. John’s Cemetery, South Dresden Township, Cavalier County
