Arnold Christianson

Arnold G. Christianson, 86, of Cavalier, ND and formerly of Mountain, ND passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 8, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier. Burial will be held in the Mountain Cemetery.
Arnold was born May 28, 1926, near Mountain, ND to G.A. and Gudlaug (Jonasson) Christianson. He grew up in the Mountain area and attended the Eyford School. He owned a café and grocery store in Mountain for many years and was an accountant and bookkeeper for Jordan Construction. For many years Arnold owned and operated Christianson Insurance Agency and also did income tax work.
On September 16, 1950, he married Donna MacDonald at Cavalier. She survives as does their daughter, JoAnn (Vern) Flanagan, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Shane Flanagan and Cabrina Flanagan; Dustin (Jill) Johnson and Nicole (Jeremy) Sorteberg and four great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Gayle Johnson; sisters, Anne Marie Strom, Kristbjorg Steinolfson, and Lauraine Byron; and brothers: Vilmar, August, and Allan Christianson.
