Armond Romfo, 85, of Langdon, ND, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.
Armond Burnell Romfo was born September 8, 1932 at Vang, ND, the son of Helgert and Lillie (Christianson) Romfo. He moved with his family to the Hannah area in 1943. He attended school in Vang and the country school in Grey Township. On October 27, 1962, Armond and Gloria Ritter were married at the Langdon Methodist Church. They lived and raised their family on a farm in the Clyde area until moving to Langdon in 1988. He never really retired, though, as he still worked on the farm until the fall of 2016.
Armond was a hard worker and loved working on the farm. He was a generous, fun-loving, story-telling Norwegian. Armond especially loved spending time with his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and watching them live their lives. He also had a soft spot for his little dog, Moose. He was a member of the Langdon Eagles Club and United Methodist Church.
Surviving Armond are his wife, Gloria, of Langdon; son Mark (Sherri) of Langdon; daughter Robin Mikkelsen of Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Tanner (Alyssa) Romfo, Myca (Justin) Flink, Kaitlyn (Riley) Arens, Preston Romfo (Skylee Hoffarth), Mason Romfo, Jacy Mikkelsen (Brad Straka), McKenna Mikkelsen; great-grandchildren: Kendra, Marah, Hudson & Armond Romfo and Lauren & Miles Flink; siblings: Neil (Marilyn) Romfo, Marliss (William) Loveridge, Marlene Krueger, Annette Tibbits, Dean (Lois) Romfo; sister-in-law Sheri Romfo; and in-laws: Carol (Carter) Sharf and Richard (Bernetta) Ritter along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Duane, Willis, Ramona Vodden, Helgert Jr.; and brothers-in-law Al Krueger and Lorne Vodden.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at United Methodist Church in Langdon, ND. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at United Methodist Church and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Thursday.
