Annie Shannon

Annie Shannon,90, formerly of Crystal, ND, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Annie M. Sagert was born April 18, 1924, in Neche, ND to August and Lena (Stegman) Sagert. She attended school in Cavalier. In 1942, she married George Shannon. For 15 years she worked at Borden's Potato Processing in Grafton and later for Associated Potato Growers, retiring at age 70. She resided at the Borg Memorial Home in Mountain, ND, before moving to Wedgewood Manor. She enjoyed her yard and flowers.
Survivors include her children: Kenneth (Bonnie) Shannon, Grafton, ND, Marvin Shannon, in Florida, Geraldine (Dwaine) Jenson, Erskine, MN, Linda Nelson, International Falls, MN. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters: Tillie, Hilda, Margaret, and Julia brothers: Henry, Gus, and Rudolph.
