Anna D. Anderson age 89, of Walhalla, ND and formerly of New England, ND died on Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon, ND. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the Walhalla Assembly of God Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. The committal service will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time at the New England Cemetery, New England, ND. Arrangements with Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND.
Anna D. Lovine was born December 18, 1916, in Slope County of North Dakota to Andrew and Pearl (Anderson) Lovine. She grew up in Slope County and attended rural school. As a teenager she came to know the Lord.
On March 16, 1940, she married Clarence Anderson at Dickinson, ND. They farmed in Slope County until 1947, when they moved into New England. Clarence passed away on April 1, 1998. She then moved to Walhalla and was a resident of the Pembilier Nursing Center.
She was active in the New England Assembly of God Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was involved in the women's ministries. For many years she was secretary-treasurer of the Slope County Farmers Union. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, crocheting, and gardening.
Anna is survived by her children, Gilbert (Ann) Anderson, Wayzata, MN; Lillian Schreader and Susanne (David) McKinley all of Minneapolis, MN; Roger (Judy) Anderson, Jamestown, ND; Clifton (Cheryl) Anderson, Walhalla, ND; Linda (Gary) Reish, Warsaw, MO; Harlen (Lori) Anderson, Stillwater, MN; Arlene (Vern) Retzlaff, Dickinson, ND; and Gale (Diane) Anderson, Minneapolis, MN; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brother, Lyle Kamstra, Valley City, ND; and sister, Lydia (Herbert) Gatzke, Rapid City, SD.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two great grandchildren, brothers, Louis and Martin Kamstra, and sisters, Frances Kamstra and Marcia Reimann.
Clergy: Rev. Dann Pageler and Rev. Jim Murphy.
Casket Bearers: All of Anna's Grandchildren.
Musicians: Dickie Huffman, Sharon Carpenter, Judy Moos, and Rick McKinley.
