Anita M. Degenstein

Anita M. Degenstein, 57, of Cavalier, ND passed away Monday, July 11, 2016, at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Anita Marie McGauvran was born July 26, 1958 in Colorado to Leo and Mary (McNamara) McGauvran. She grew up in Duluth, MN. Anita worked at Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier and operated her own painting business. Things she enjoyed were NASCAR, football, her pets and fishing.
Survivors include her daughters: Shannon (Adam) Syverson and Sydney (Logan) Schendel all of Chaseburg, WI; special friend, Bill Nordstrom, Cavalier, ND; siblings: Alan McGauvran, Grand Forks, ND and Kevin (Bonnie) McGauvran, Pembina, ND.
Preceding her in death were her parents and son, Shawn.
