Andrew Olson

Andrew Olson, 89, of Langdon, ND passed away June 16, 2006 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.

Andrew Melvin Olson was born July 24, 1916 to Ole E.M. and Helga (Bratlie) Olson at the Olson home NE of Langdon, ND. He attended school at Loam #2 and went on to farm all his life, at times with his father and grandfather. He lived for 62 years in the same house on the Olson farm. Andrew and Helen Anderson were united in marriage on April 4, 1970 in Minneapolis, MN. They made their home on the Olson farm. They moved into Langdon in 1978. Helen passed away February 15, 1997. Andrew moved to Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon in 2003.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Olin Olson of Langdon, ND; Lloyd Olson of Minneapolis, MN; Alda (Duaine) Raeder of Christine, ND, Ole L.E. (Marjorie) Olson of Langdon, ND; June Marsden of Pekin, Il; Helga (Dennis) Schuschke of Fargo, ND; Sister-in-laws Bernice Olson and Anna Olson both of Langdon, ND, 36 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, brothers Erling, Henry and Hans and brother-in-law Howard Marsden, sisters-in-law Ethel Olson, Anna Mae Olson, and Elizabeth Olson.

VISITATION Sunday June 18, 2006 from 3 to 6pm at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Monday.

SERVICES Monday June 19, 2006 at 1:30pm at the United Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND.
