Alvin Buell, 92, of Langdon, ND passed away April 18, 2015 at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, ND with the support of the Maple Manor caregivers.
Alvin Leslie Buell was born July 3, 1922 to Cecil and Irene (Pollock) Buell in Falls City, Oregon. He grew up on a farm near Tulelake, CA and graduated from the local high school. He married Gladys Carroll on July 10, 1942. They farmed near Tulelake for 10 years and then moved to Gregory, SD. They were blessed with two sons and one daughter. After many years farming, they decided to move closer to their daughter in North Dakota. They celebrated 72 years of marriage last year.
Alvin has been a resident at Maple Manor Care Center for three and a half years. He had a love for all sports and spent many hours cheering on the Twins. He was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church in Langdon.
He is survived by wife Gladys of Langdon, ND; son Ken Buell of Langdon, ND; daughter Donnell (Joe) Torgerson of Fairdale, ND; brother Delbert (JoAnn) Buell of Klamath Falls, OR; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Martin Engebretson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Karl Buell, grandson Kraig Buell, and sisters Murlene, Maxine, and Shirley.
Alvin will be missed by all those who loved him, but we know he is resting in Godââ¬â¢s loving arms.
Services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at New Hope Fellowship Church in Langdon, ND with visitation starting at 5:30 p.m.
