Altie Albrecht

Altie Albrecht, 71, of Langdon, ND, passed away Tuesday September 16, 2008.

Altie was born July 12, 1937 to Edwin and Helen (Stokke) Kays at Sarles, ND. She attended Glenila School and graduated from Calvin High School in Calvin, ND. Altie married Verlin Albrecht on Oct. 16, 1957. They lived and worked on the family farm. Altie was a special baker, seamstress, and Grandmother (Granny). Altie later worked at Maple Manor Care Center where she baked for the residents.

Altie is survived by her husband Verlin, children: Kevin (Ruth) of Humble, TX, Jackie Albrecht of Rugby, ND, Keith (Linda) of Langdon, ND, and Jesse Albrecht of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren: Dexter Albrecht, Luke Albrecht, Jade Albrecht, Zia Albrecht, and Jasmine Albrecht; sisters Hazel Miller of FL, Wilma Holt of IA, and Gladys Kays of IA as well as many nieces and nephews. Altie was preceded by her parents, infant daughter Jeanette Albrecht, brothers: Edward Kays and William Kays.

Services: Saturday September 20, 2008 One O’ Clock at the Maple Manor Care Center, Langdon, ND.

Burial will be at Bethel Mennonite Cemetery, rural Langdon, ND.

Memorials preferred to Maple Manor Care Center.

Please know you are in my prayers at this time. Us cousins are the now generation on both sides of our family and each loss is felt deeply. Verlin I will call later and talk to you.

Distance is no barrier when it comes to family. We always stayed in touch.
