Alma L. Geir, 102, of Walhalla, ND passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla. Visitation will be held Friday, January 18th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Visitation also at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
Alma was born September 23, 1910, at Walhalla to Joe and Blanche (Richotte) Graveline. She grew up in the Walhalla area. Alma lived her entire adult life in Langdon, Cavalier, and Walhalla. She married Amie Tetrault and he passed away on October 24, 1955. On July 2, 1981, she married Johann Geir at Cavalier. Johann passed away on July 29, 1999. Alma enjoyed tending her flowers, gardening, canning, and dancing.
Survivors include her childen: Elaine Dunnigan, Langdon, Wally Tetrault, Virginia, MN, Shirley (John) Delvo and Lorne (Judy) Tetrault all of Langdon; son-in-law, Ray Peloquin, Virginia, MN; 10 granchildren; 35 great grandchildren and sister, Clara Chaput, Walhalla.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Della Peloquin; three grandsons; one brother and one sister.
