Allen McLeod

Wm. Allen McLeod, 59, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010, at the Pembina County Memorial Hosptial, Cavalier, ND. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 25th, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier.
Wm. Allen McLeod was born July 3, 1950, at Altona, Manitoba, Canada to Wm. Kenneth and Agnes (Guenther) McLeod. He grew up in the Park Center area and graduated from Neche High School. Allen served in the U.S Army from 1970 to1971 and the National Guard from 1971 to 1973. He worked for the Pembina County Highway Department for 15 years and later as a mechanic at Motor Coach Industries in Pembina. Allen also enjoyed farming with his brother and his vehicles were his pride and joy.
On October 19, 1979, he married Karen Reichert at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural St. Thomas, ND.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; children, Mitchell (Eden) McLeod, McClusky, ND and Kelsie McLeod, Fargo, ND; grandson, Wyatt; mother, Agnes McLeod, Neche, ND; siblings, Arlene (Doug) Herzog, Grand Forks, ND, Larry (Julie) McLeod, Olympia, WA, Deborah (Jeff) Stark, Cavalier, ND, Kelly (Kris) McLeod, Neche, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, Wm. Kenneth and infant daughter, Amanda Joy.

Music: Connie Sommer, Organist and Dan Aird, Bagpiper.
Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Brown, Jon Dornacker, Doug Herzog, Lloyd Karel, Neal Martin, Don Menke, Terry Reichert, Jeff Stark, and Reg Wieler.
Military Rites: Lavern J. Thompson Post #11, Cavalier American Legion.
