Alice Power, 94, of Langdon, ND passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Cavalier County Memorial Hospital in Langdon, ND.

Alice Frances was born October 16, 1920 in Osnabrock, ND to A.J. and Frances (Hosna) Brezina. She was schooled in Osnabrock, ND and graduated from Osnabrock High School in 1939. After high school, Alice continued her schooling and graduated from the University of North Dakota. Alice and Lawrence Power were united in marriage on October 29, 1950. Alice started her working career as a bookkeeper for the Brezina family construction business. She then opened the original flower shop in Langdon in the late 1950s and ran that for about 10 years. From the mid-1970s to 1982, Alice was a teacher at St. Alphonsus School in Langdon. Alice belonged to many organizations including Perry Homemakers, Langdon Country Club, Garden Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Presentation Association, and was a past state president of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. She was also a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.

Alice is survived by her children: Joan Rosenberger of Littleton, CO, Greg (Nancy) Power; grandchildren: Jeryl (Jay) Glascock, Michael (Kristen) Rosenberger, Kimberly (Troy) Bartsch, Shawn (Morgan) Power; great-grandchildren: Samantha & Joshua Glascock, Derek & Lindsay Rosenberger, Peyton, Sydnee & Cruz Bartsch, Kieran Power; brothers Gerald and Kenneth; and sister Mary Ann Heder. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, daughter Janel, brothers: Joe, Emory, Quent, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
