Alfred Latozke, 90, of Cavalier, ND died Monday, May 10, 2010, at Borg Memorial Home, Mountain, ND. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Neche, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Bruce Cemetery, Neche.
Alfred was born January 31, 1920, at Neche, ND to Adolph and Olga (Stegman) Latozke. He grew up and attended the Bruce School, rural Neche.
On May 11, 1951, he married Irma Keil, formerly from Germany, and farmed in the Neche area until his retirement. Irma passed away June 6, 1973. He married Thelma Johnson of Grand Forks on April 18, 1975, and she died on December 26, 1989. On May 28, 1993, Alfred married Esther Kiemele of Cavalier and they resided in Cavalier. Alfred was a faithful husband, father, and grandfather, and a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Neche.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; children, Irene (John) Morrison, and Don (Joni) Latozke, all of Neche; grandsons, Kirk (Julie) Morrison, Neche, Eric (Megan) Morrison, Bathgate, ND, Darin (Alisha) Morrison, Indianapolis, IN, Lee Latozke, Shreveport, LA and Alan Latozke, New Braunfels, TX; stepdaughter, Bonnie Johnson, Monrovia, CA; stepsons, Larry Johnson, Renton, WA and Fred (Carole) Kiemele, Cavalier; brother, Irwin (Luella) Latozke, Cavalier; sisters, Hilda Clark, Walhalla, ND and Doris Armstrong, Renton, WA; sister-in-laws, Muriel Latozke, Cavalier, Bernice Latozke, Renton, WA, Amy Latozke, Mountain, and Rita Keil, Bramsche, Germany; and brother-in-law, Wally Keil, Renton, WA.
Preceding him in death were his parents, daughter, Shirley Latzoke; and brothers, Arthur, Paul, and Eddie.
Clergy: Rev. Beth Peterson
Casket Bearers: Alan Latozke, Lee Latozke, Darin Morrison, Eric Morrison, and Kirk Morrison.
Music: Diane Stegman, Organist.
