Alexander Dumenchuk

Alexander "Alex" Dumenchuk age 70 of Bathgate, ND died on Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavaler, ND. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, January 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Alexander was born February 8, 1937, at Leroy, ND to Anthony and Marion (Mydynski) Dumenchuk. He grew up in Pembina County and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his discharge from the service he worked at local potato houses, for the Evertt DeMars farm and at Motor Coach Industries in Pembina for 28 years.
On September 19, 1977, he married Elizabeth Restemayer at Leroy, ND.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children, Marion and Anthony Dumenchuk, all of Bathgate, ND; brothers, Wesley "Bill" Dumenchuk, Allen, WA and Nicholas "Nick" Dumenchuk, Bellevue, WA.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents.
Celebrant: Rev. Fr. William McDermott.
Military Rites by Lavern J. Thompson Post #11, Cavalier American Legion.
Casket Bearers: Wes Argue, Ray Beck, Mike Blevins, Dale Martinson, Tony Restemayer, Doug Sapa, Lane Unhjem, and Tom Zaharia.
