Alden Weeks

Alden Weeks, 77, of Cavalier, ND and formerly of Devils Lake, ND, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
George Alden Weeks was born August 29, 1938 at Grafton, ND to Kenneth and Jeanette (Lacaille) Weeks. He grew up in the Leroy, ND area and graduated from Cavalier High School. He married Eunice Defoe and together they had four children.
Alden owned and operated the Cavalier Dry Cleaners. He then moved to Devils Lake, ND where he did carpentry work and had a shoe repair business. In 2015, he moved to Cavalier.
Survivors include his children: Bonnie (Jim) McLean, Jackson, TN, Nancy (Cal) Cluchie and Mark (Samantha) Weeks, all of Cavalier, Susan (Earl) Hannesson, Shakopee, MN; grandchildren: Greg, David, Zach, Rachael; Josh and Brodie; John, Anna, and Ty; brothers: Wayne (Marie) Weeks, Truth or Consequences, NM and Jim Weeks, Billings, MT.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Murlo Weeks.
