AL Murie

Andrew L. (Bud) Murie, 90, of Langdon, North Dakota passed away Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, North Dakota.

Andrew Lyle Murie was born October 7, 1919 to Andrew and Effie B. (Smith) Murie. He was raised in Harvey Township, Cavalier County. Bud was united in marriage to Ila Romfo on June 9, 1942 at Vang, ND. Following their marriage they lived and farmed in Harvey Township. Bud lived in Harvey Township his entire life, with the exception of two years, until 1993 when he and Ila moved to Langdon. He drove out to the farm and kept track of crops on a regular basis up until last month.

Bud is survived by his two sons: Orlin Murie of Camino Island, WA and Larry (Helen) Murie of Langdon, ND, grandchildren: Vicki (Darrell) Wrege, Orly Murie, Tammy (Tim) Aronson, Tina (Jamie) Bryn, Teri Murie and Troy Murie, great-grandchildren: DiAnn "Dez" Kiefer, Taylor Wrege, Tracy Aronson, Andrew Murie, Shannon Bryn, Tucker Aronson, Tristen Murie, Peter Bryn, Allison Brynn, great-great grandchild McKenna Kiefer, sister Della Crockett of Langdon, ND, sister-in-law Ann Marie Davis of VanCouver, WA and many neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ila, sister Myrtle M. Boomgaarden, brother Orville Glenn and a granddaughter.

VISITATION will begin at 2:oopm with a 7:00pm Prayer service on Friday November 27, 2009 at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Saturday.

SERVICES Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 2:00pm at the United Methodist Church of Langdon, ND.

INTERMENT Harvey Centre Cemetery, Rural Langdon, ND.
