Theodore G. "Ted" Wege age 89, of Cavalier, ND, died on Thursday, January 22, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Center, Osnabrock, ND. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial in the Andvari Cemetery, Cavalier, ND. In lieu of flowers memorial are preferred to the Good Samaritan Van Fund at 326 Rainbow Road, Osnabrock, ND 58269.
Theodore G. Wege was born June 8, 1919, at Barre Mills, WI, to Theodore and Marie (Berg) Wege. He grew up on a farm in Wisconsin and later studied to become an electronics engineer. His career with Western Electric led him to live in many different places, including Turkey, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. In the early 1970's he moved to the Cavalier area where he was involved in the building of the PAR Site.
After retiring, Ted enjoyed traveling to Europe and to his condo on the coast in Moclips, WA, as well as to other destinations in the U.S. He was an avid woodworker, gardener, and loved to restore antique cars, especially his 1919 Ford Model T pickup truck.
People in the area will remember Ted surviving an overnight entrapment outside in subzero temperatures for over 17 hours.
On February 28, 1987, he married Gisela Haak at Cavalier.
He is survived by his wife, Gisela, children, Linda Fisher, Boston, MA, Anne Wege, Fairfield, CT, Deborah (Stephan) Tribull, in Germany, grandchildren, Sean and Sven Tribull, brother, Maynard (Sylvia) Wege, Seattle, WA.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers, Milton, Otto, and Art.

Casket Bearers: Wes Argue, Dennis Biliske, Darold Johnson, Kenneth Kuhn, Roy Otto, Lorene Reimer, David Wege, and Maynard Wege.
